I love to play and teach boardgames
When teaching, I start by saying “this is just a practice game”
It takes the pressure off for a lot of people
Of course the game would be exactly the same if I didn’t say it
I have found this to also work on myself
If I’m learning something new I will say “oh, it’s just an experiment, a practice game”
Now that it’s just a practice game, failure doesn’t hurt
